T H E   P R I N C I P A L   D A N C E R

The Principal Dancer is an editorial / visual project featuring individual dance artists who have reached the level of principal within professional dance companies, both ranked and unranked. Created with the hope that others—especially dancers—find inspiration or motivation and a little bit of themselves among the features. At minimum, it is a small collaborative piece of dance history. Curated visuals combine with Q&A interviews to give each artist a little space to claim for themselves. This project honors both their dedication to the art and aims to resonate deeply with anyone who appreciates the transformative power of dance.
